How Sheer Shades Shades Work

The Sheer Shades control system allows the shade to move through multiple viewing positions. When the fabric is lowered, the vanes can be adjusted to filter light, increase privacy, or open the view. Once the shade is fully lowered to the sill, continuing operation opens the horizontal vanes for broader outside visibility. To retract the shading, the fabric can be raised back into the headrail. The guide notes that the shade will not tilt open unless it is fully lowered.

Room-Darkening options are available in all three vane sizes as well, with colors including Bright White, Beige, Linen, Cornsilk, Biscuit, Granite, Java, Greek Villa, Eggshell, Natural Tan, Barcelona Beige, Khaki, Brick, Lazy Gray, Midnight, Royal Blue, and Coastal Plain.

Headrail Options

Sheer Shades are available with two headrail styles:

Curved Headrail — standard option, with matching fabric wrap standard
Flat Headrail — upgrade option for a more architectural look

The product guide also shows flat square headrail colors including Pecan, White, Sesame, Beige, Cocoa, Cornsilk, Dolphin Gray, Rattan, Night Sky, Blueberry, Sage, and Celadon, allowing the rail finish to coordinate with selected fabrics.

Bottom Rail Design

The bottom rail is engineered for both appearance and function. According to the hardware page, the bottom rail includes an adjustable counterweight that helps keep the shade level, and its design reduces light gaps when the shade is in the lowered or closed position.

Continuous Cord Loop & Safe Wand

The continuous cord loop system is available from 7.5" to 116" wide and 11" to 144" high. A standard cord loop is included at no additional charge, while the optional Safe Wand is listed as an upgrade.
